Has anyone else ever had THIS happen while you were pregnant:
I taste moth balls when eating. I can be eating/drinking anything--and bam--moth ball flavor. Gag. Drinking water--moth balls. Eating a grape--moth balls. It's completely random and not associated with any one food or drink; it doesn't even happen with every bite. It is pretty nasty.
I asked a nurse about it, and apparently it's tied to acid reflux and heartburn. At first I wasn't so sure because I was thinking, "I haven't had heartburn since that one weekend." However, now I've started waking up with super bad heartburn and I can feel it during the day at times. Not so fun. Last night I woke up at 3:20 and had to eat some Tums. Thank you Tums. Thank you B for having the Tums on the nightstand for me!
Nuts!
The baby's gotten lower--I definitely feel her on my pelvic bones when I walk and just throughout the day/night. I'm hoping she's almost ready!
We went to the hospital tonight to visit our sister and brother-in-law and little C! Ooooh my goodness she is just so sweet. She smells so sweet, her little cheeks are so soft, her little cry is so precious--what's not to love? She's great. We are so in love!!! Sil is doing well! She's lookin' strong and Bil is stayin' awake and hangin' in--they both look great and are doing an awesome job!
While we were there we filled out all of our paperwork and paid, so we're good to just go in! We also signed up to donate our cord blood! Very exciting! It's a new deal apparently--and isn't even available everywhere. I'm very proud that we've signed up to donate it, and I hope that it can be used to help save someone's little one or someone's big one, even!
Tomorrow we'll get to work on the nursery and clean it all up and finish off the shelves and frames and all! Can't wait to have it totally finished! I also get to see my cousins tomorrow and their little boy--more babies!!!!! Maybe their pheromones will help the baby come out soon! Full moon next week! Let's see what happens!
