My little girl went down for a nap an hour and a half ago and didn't shed one tear. In fact, she was talking and playing and then went to sleep no problems. She's managed to stay asleep for a long time (past her usual feeding time already!) even though our neighbors are outside playing loudly (and we can hear every detail of their conversations in our house...eesh) and the gunsmith's been firing what sounds like a canon! Go Camille!!! I managed to boil eggs for our new diet plan, clean the kitchen, wash and dry my hair, fix my face (hello mustache--mamma-hood has distracted me from my tweezing!) up, and fix a salad for lunch--AND eat most of it already! Wow!
I love that she's growing up so much, but I'll be sad when she loses her little babyness. She's still so cuddly and chubby--I love it! It's nice now that she's less dependent on me though--it's the best of both worlds.
Speaking of diet--it is going well. We are going primal! Lifestyle change--permanent. We hope. Anyway--we've given up grains altogether. I already have lost 3 pounds (I'm a carb NUT--who isn't?) and I feel awesome today! It could be Camille's sleep progress (she also slept all night last night with just one feeding), but it might be the diet. I'm also filling up better today than yesterday on salad. Yesterday after that salad I was still pretty hungry all day.
I would like to say how proud I am of my husband! He's the one who has been doing all the research for our diet and he's been doing the cooking. He's awesome at it, and he really motivates me to stay with it. He's pretty awesome. Duh.
I'm also super proud of my brother who has started a blog to share his diet progress. That is super motivating for me (maybe even more than for him so far?)--it's pretty hard to be honest with yourself while dieting and he's doing it in writing--on the internet. Awesome job. Here's a link to his blog incase you'd like to read up on his progress.
Of course, I'm super proud of my little Camille who is STILL sleeping. Garsh.
Okay--new topic:
Fellow nursers... (in other words, boob talk approaching--leave now if this is not your thing)....
I have a super sore nipple! I thought we were past that period of problems. :/ She's over four months old! She hates lanolin, but I've got a scab and everything--it HURTS like crazy to nurse her on that side, but I need her to nurse long because of supply issues. Boooo. Any suggestions?
