40 Weeks...and counting...

Well...due date has come and gone and no real signs of labor approaching.  This is me the morning of my due date--40 weeks and feeling good!  This was before work--I went in and people were (as usual) freaking out that I was there.  As if I'd go to work while in labor...and as if labor will happen so rapidly that I'll deliver the baby at school.  I wish it was going to be that fast.  Psh.

We made lots of plans for the weekend thinking that C would want to interrupt with her arrival, but no such luck.  She even had two aunts in from out of town--would have been too perfect.  She's too cool for that.

We went to the zoo with one nephew this morning.  This is him with his two lollipops.  One lick strawberry, one lick rootbeer.  It was fun, but got pretty hot.  One of my sister-in-laws said walking through the zoo helped her go into labor.  We've got to try all options!!!  No such luck as of yet.

The walking can't have hurt though.

After the zoo we visited another nephew and a niece and lots of siblings!  More plans!  No baby.

We had a great time visiting though--got to play a lot:

How B can keep up with these guys for entire 9-9 day, I have no idea.  He is such a wonderful man.  I'm so glad he has all of this energy, because I mostly sat like a lump.  I got to hold our new little niece, and am hoping her little pheromones might have helped start the labor process.  However, I can feel baby C moving around now and it doesn't feel like she's in a hurry to escape.

Great day--lots of family and fun.  Me and B got some down time together last night, which is nice considering these are the last few days of us just being us forever.  It's a strange thing to know that the end of something is coming, but not being able to really appreciate it.  I'll miss our days of just us two doing whatever we feel like doing whenever.  It's been so fun.  I'm excited about our little girl, of course--it's just hard to say goodbye to such a cool time in our lives, and it was so short!

I am currently drinking some red raspberry leaf tea--my friend gave me that tip.  It strengthens the uterus (supposedly).  I guess that can't hurt!  I'll need that soon.  She also recommended a chiropractor visit--there's something they can do to help things get moving.  I'm not quite ready for that yet, but I may be soon.  :)

Come on Baby C--we are waiting to meet you!  I want to kiss those chubby cheeks!!  Let's just hope she makes it before Halloween!
