Professional Sleeper

Last night we put Camille down at about 8pm, which was earlier than normal, but with daylight savings time we figured we'd better work on it.  Plus we didn't want her taking a nap at 7:30, so we just stretched it out a little and did our nighttime routine hoping she'd know it was bedtime.

Boy did she.  First she cried a long time (boooo--steps backwards), but then she slept.  And she slept.  And she slept.  She slept about 11 hours last night without waking up.  Seriously.  I went in around 8, which was really 7, to wake her up to eat, but she was laying there with her eyes open playing.  Finally.  What a cutie!  She is so excited to see me in the mornings too--Brian too, I'm sure.  It's just the best.  I am a little sad though because we'll have to wake her up tomorrow morning.  Poor child!

We went to Mass today thinking "she's slept 11 hours, surely she'll make it more than 1 and a half hours without a nap"--wrong.  She was maaaaad and fussed through most of church.  She went to sleep on the way home, but then we woke her up to put her in her bed and ended up having to feed her to make sure that wasn't the problem.  Good news is: she'll sleep for a longer nap now and wake up much more rested and not starving.  So, we'll see how long she goes.  Yesterday she slept for a total of about 15 hours.  That's a lot.  She's gotten almost too good at sleeping.

Another bonus:  Lots of milk getting stored up with her long sleeps!  Yay for catching up on bottle needs!  We were even able to go up to the bigger bottles that hold more than 5 oz.  We'll see what she needs this week.  Should be interesting.

  2. Yeah right--we don't have anything figured out girl! We definitely have a happy mamma though! Sleep is AWESOME. She still cries when we put her down, but now we're used to it and know when to go check her and when she's okay.
