SAHM's

Okay Stay at Home Moms!  I am so jealous right now.  I've been off this week because of Spring Break (lucky working mom that I am), and I only have four weeks of work left until I get Summer off (yay).  It has been so awesome!!!  I have been able to keep housework up, pack boxes (Did I mention we are moving?  More on that once it all goes through officially.  Sorry for the suspense.), cook meals, and lose weight!  Those things are all way cool--but of course, the best part is how much awesome time I get to spend with my little girl!!  I'm not going to say it isn't work to be a SAHM (I can only imagine how exhausting it will be when she's older and when there's more than one), but it is WAY more awesome than having a job.  Mostly because you get to see your children so much!  Plus your houses are probably way cleaner than mine.  Geesh.  Salute to you guys--I envy you!

On a completely opposite note....I am ready to go back to work.  I hate cleaning!  :)  I like spending time with Camille, but man I hate being the one responsible for housework.  I wasn't made to be a housewife.  I could do it if it worked out that way I suppose, but I like having a career.

Also, I've managed to lose more weight this week (even after a HUGE meal for our Anniversary and Easter cheats) because I have been totally non-hungry.  Some of it is that I have other things I'd rather do while Camille is sleeping (like blogging apparently??  wise move), but sometimes I'm just really okay with eating a piece of cheese and moving along.  If I could stay at home I think I'd be thinner than I am as a working mom.  We'll see if that's true since I'll be off all summer, huh?  Watch: I'll gain 30 pounds back!  NOOOO!!

We went to the doctor today and Camille has zero symptoms of anything.  Doc said no shots today (yay), and she should be okay in another day or two.  Her fever is already lower and she played a lot more today and slept a lot less.  Whew.

She also ate sweet potatoes like there was no tomorrow and then took 6.5 oz of milk!!!  Homegirl was HUNGRY!  I'm okay with her stuffing her face--she's down in her growth %iles.  She was at the 98th in height and now she's down to 50th.  :/  Same with head size.  Her weight was always slightly low--at the 50th, but she has gained less than a pound in two months.  Does that seem bad to anyone else???  She's got thigh and arm rolls--she's not hurting for sure, and she is super physical and moves a lot, but that seems low to me.  Doc says she's okay.  "Good genes"--I heard that a lot today.  Thought I'd brag.  :)  It's just because we're all healthy....so I think that jinxed us.  I hope no one falls ill.  I knocked on wood.  (and said a million prayers)

So, solids are getting easier.  She eats them instead of spits them--and eats a lot more of them!  Of course, that's because it was sweet potatoes and not green beans probably.  I got more foods to try--squash, banana, prunes (incase we have a back up!), peaches, peas, and apples.  Limited on the veggies they have.  I want to do broccoli, but we'll wait I guess.

I have a picture from our Anniversary Dinner...but it's not loaded, and I'm trying to eat a salad right now so I'm not getting up.  :)  I'll have to do that post even later.  Sorry (I mean, I know you are DYING to see it, right??  Psh.).

Better be productive while she's sleeping...

  1. If the doc's not worried about the weight gain, I wouldn't be... she's probably just being more active and burning more. Of course, I have super-shrimpy kids, too! We're in the 5-10th percentile club over here... but they just look at their progress over time and as long as the curve isn't stagnating or dipping over time, they said not to worry.

And congrats on not pigging out at home! I did better at work because I was limited to certain times that I could eat but at home I grazed ALL DAY LONG! I had to just stop buying junky stuff because I knew I couldn't control myself all day!!
