So, we didn't do the crib last night. GOSH we have no resolve!
We've decided to make it a party for us. We're going to wait until the weekend, then Brian and I are going to camp out in the living room and take turns putting her back to bed in the crib. We're also letting her nap in there during the day so that she gets used to the room in general. She fell asleep in the carseat today, so I put the carseat in the crib and she's STILL SLEEPING. She's an hour past her usual feeding time. I will have to go wake her up soon just so she doesn't think this is night time.
I jogged again today! Three days of couch to five k done. I ended up skipping all weekend though because of events--so I'm going to do another day or two of the first week so I don't knock myself out. Plus I'm going to do them back to back instead of skipping a day I think. Nursing and jogging...not the best pair. I have to strap the girls down so that there isn't any major problem.
Can I say that I am amazed by how few people nurse these days. I mean, I know there are people who have lots of issues with it and infections and pain and it sure as heck isn't easy. I'm not condemning people who don't nurse. I'm just surprised that so many educated people aren't at least trying to nurse if they can. A lot of people don't even attempt it. I don't get it. It's the absolute best thing for your baby AND it's free. I mean, I'm all about healthy things and helping your baby out and all...but the kicker for me is the free part--really. Plus less stuff to carry around and pack up. But FREE. Free food for a long time. With the expense of diapers and wipes, it's nice to not have to worry about food too right now.
Guess who's finally up!!! Gotta go Nurse!
I found some AMaZIng (and seriously expensive) sports bras that actually strapped those suckers down... I highly recommend investing.. way better than wearing 2! Man, I don't miss those things!
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, I know what you mean.. it's amazing how few people nurse.. Congrats for doing it! Keep us updated :)
I was very surprised by how few moms stick it out (or even attempt) nursing. I'm glad my family was very supportive, because Lord knows my in-laws were not!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that with every passing generation, more and more moms will give it a go, and I hope society makes it a little easier for those moms to pursue that route!
