Ok. Things are getting a little harder to keep up with. We haven't even been home or free on the weekends lately. Whew it is exhausting! I won't be able to update as much as I'd like.
C is growing so much! This week her motor skills became a little more finely tuned and she is able to reach and grab or smack things really accurately. She is fighting sleep more at night, which wears me out. However she does sleep all night and just has one night feeding. Thank goodness. Currently she sleeps in the playpen bassinet by our bed and for her 3am feeding she just gets in bed with me, eats, and we both crash. I know she needs to go back into her bed, but I am being lazy AND am really enjoying a little snuggle time with her (even though I end up sleeping on Brian's side so she has lots of room).
Two fun pumping adventures: 1) Someone definitely unlocked the door and started to walk in on me, so I resorted to yelling, "Nooo--don't come in here!!! DO NOT come in!!" I felt like a freak when I walked out. Side note...I pump in a side office of the school library!!
2) There was a fire drill while I was pumping Monday. Seriously?? I didn't know what to do, but I was so close to my 4 ounces and knew if I stopped I wouldn't be able to just start back up so I kept going. Then I remembered how sometimes people go through and check to make sure the building is empty!! I finished up and was walking through the empty school when a bell rang to reenter. Then I was scared of being seen in there, so I ran back to my office. Wow. Good thing it was a drill because no one seemed to notice I wasn't outside.
OK--C pictures to follow soon (maybe). She had some playtime with her cousins this weekend and it was adorable!!
LOL - love the pumping stories! Do you know that after I had Addison I worked at a Dairy plant and had nowhere to pump. Ironic, I know. My only option was the unisex bathroom - ewww. I came home at lunch every day and pumped. Glad that only lasted a couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh--that is crazy. I am anti-bathroompumping! How nice to be able to go home to pump--way more comfortable!
