Time is Flying...our social life is dying

Date TOMORROW!!!  This is the most exciting thing imaginable.  I'm very excited about being out with Brian for a social excursion rather than for errands or work.  It will be nice, and hopefully relaxing.  My lovely sister is babysitting--thank you so much!  We are planning on seeing The King's Speech and getting sushi--yay!  However, other than family we have done very little with people lately.  I am looking forward to summer when I have time to go out with her AND she'll be eating less often and napping less, so we'll have time to spend with people!

Brian has been super gracious tonight and let me have the evening for some me time.  I was about to go to bed at 7pm....but figured I couldn't do that without being a total loser.  Brian is pretty awesome.  He's been cooking dinner regularly and taking care of grocery shopping (I think he really enjoys it--yay!!).  That gives me lots of play time with C at night, which is great.  Tonight I'm just too tired to be of much use.

Last weekend we had some social interaction with family and Camille is a social butterfly:

These are my cousins' little girls, Ella and Stella.  They were all so sweet and when we put them together Camille looked like she was trying to get to them and communicate with them--it was awesome.  Ella (the oldest on the left) is about ready to crawl.  She was doing some Superman moves.  Stella (second oldest and in the middle here) was so sweet--very calm and happy the whole weekend!  Camille was definitely the youngest, but did well keeping up with them physically!  Go girl!  She had tummy time before this whole photo shoot and still managed to keep her little head and chest up the whole time!  I'm so proud.

In other Camille news:  Drool.  She is drooling as though it's the most fashionable thing to do.  I think we'll see teeth pretty soon--which is crazy!!!  She will be four months next week, but still...it seems early.  She's also got some Superman moves now (Ella, thanks for teaching her these) so I'm scared she'll be crawling early too.  Yikes.  Time for Mamma to work out!!!  Gotta keep up with the baby!

Camille has been "talking" a lot lately too.  She says "ooh ooh ooh oooh ahhh ahh oooh" for really long periods of time when she's nice and awake.  I tried to get a video tonight, but she skipped her nap before her last feeding, so she's going to crash pretty hard soon.  I am too, so this is great news.

Work has been going SO well.  My students are all attending class (it's a pull out program with no grade...so it's kind of voluntary on their part) and are so funny (except for one...who is trying to put off the image that he's brilliant by learning random facts and spouting them out to sound smart...bleh).  I just really enjoy them and my coworkers.  Next week we have a field trip to a major research lab in town for a tour of a lab and we have a state representative coming to have breakfast with my students, then do a presentation for the school.  Yeah--big week.  I also have a bunco night with girl friends that night, so I'm pretty sure I'll be more sleep deprived, but more socially fulfilled...so it'll even out, right?

Do people every catch up on sleep after having children?  I feel like just the end of nursing will mean more sleep and I've totally been tempted to supplement with formula even just at night so I could sleep longer.  I know that formula isn't evil, but I feel like that'd be a bad reason to start it since I'm not really pro-formula.  I am, however, really pro sleep.  Oh well, right?

Here's a picture of my sweet gift from God:

Thanks to my coworker, Aleice, for the cute little outfit!!
