Camille is on the move! She is getting around like crazy. She's not realllllly crawling--it's more of an army crawl, but she covers large distances very quickly. It is wild! She'll be five months old tomorrow! She's a strong little lady for sure. She's also sitting up now, but isn't able to balance her side to side wobbles. She's just improved from flopping forward. It is so amazing how much she can do already!
I told B that it's like she's a completely different baby from the one we delivered. They grow and change so much so fast that you look at them one day, and then the next day you think, "who is this?" It is wild.
She's doing so well with sleeping and eating and everything. Supply's back up and running--maybe it was lack of sleep that killed it? She's sleeping all night except for a diaper change some nights, and the past two nights she went to bed so early that by 3 or 4 she was ready to eat again. Luckily, she eats and goes back to sleep for about 4 more hours. Rock star! And after the diaper changes she goes right back to sleep on her own. She is just great.
One of my favorite things that she does is spit. She puts those lips together and blows like she's playing a trumpet and it is the funniest thing! Sometimes she does it when we're fussing and it is so hilarious; it's like she is being sassy on purpose! Example: "Camille, stop trying to eat my phone." --spits--; "That wasn't nice grabbing my glasses like that."--spits. Just funny.
Gross, but hilarious story about the spitting: Today she was spitting in her exersaucer and mid-spit she pooped and it sounded like she was still spitting. It was hilarious. She kept on going for a while too--spitting and pooping. It was great. She's great.
I'm so ready for another one-I just don't want the baby days to end! She's so much fun and it's so amazing how much love you can feel for a person and how tied you feel to them when you've seen them grow from birth like this, and when you've played such a big roll in their life. Amazing.
It is hard to believe that it's already been 5 months since you had her!! I used to worry about missing the baby days, but as they bigger and can do new things, I find myself saying "now THIS is my favorite age." As much as I loved things in the past, now I'm really loving age 3. And I'm sure in a year from now, I'll probably be loving 4!
ReplyDeleteBut I guess that's a good thing--so even if you miss some of the baby days, there's always bigger and brighter things ahead!!
